Singapore is one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world and is located past the Southern tip of Malaysia. With the incredibly myriad cultures assimilated in the city, it is hard to not feel at home in the land of skyscrapers and bustling regular life. The fact that it is a shopper’s dream destination and has so many locations to sight-see, makes it a must add in every traveler’s bucket list.
Malaysia is one of the more diverse countries due to the number of foreign countries to have occupied it in the past. At one time controlled by the Portuguese, the British took over the country during the 19th century. With them they brought in Indian and Chinese immigrants, adding even more diversity to an already diverse culture.
Singapore and Malaysia both were ravaged by war in 1942 when Japan invaded and took the country over. Since then, Singapore and Malaysia have both rebuilt themselves and in the process have become thriving countries, attracting tourists from all over the world due to their diverse and rich culture.
